Written by Texas judges crowned local chef Paul Qui as the winner. For many viewers, this was no surprise, as Paul had been bringing it all season; however, that only made his win sweeter, as fans were in agreement that he truly deserved the honor of being Top Chef.
He told Bravo that he’ll be spending his $125,000 prize money on student loans, savings, and girlfriend Deana Saukam.
Qui, who also runs several Asian street food trailers in Texas called East Side King, was named a semifinalist for the James Beard Best Chef Southwest Award, an honor his mentor Tyson Cole won last year.
