Written by Sonya Thomas, the Virginia woman known as the “Black Widow” for her ability to devour food and competitors, beat her own record, today, when she scarfed down 45 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes to win the women’s competition at the 2012 Coney Island Nathan’s hot dog eating contest.
She’ll take home $10,000 for her trouble. Her previous record was 41 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes.
This latest title is just the latest addition to Thomas’ eating awards. She also has championship baubles for eating oysters (47 dozen in eight minutes), crawfish (3.25 pounds in 10 minutes), clams (26 dozen in six minutes) and cheesecake (11 pounds in nine minutes).
Meanwhile, men’s division winner Joey Chestnut tied his world record and walked away with a win by eating 68 hot dogs in 10 minutes. This is his sixth win in six years.

That’s the contest they don’t normally advertise, but you’re correct, she probably does have a few trophies on her mantle for taking on many schlongs.

Correct, and they don’t mention the post competition practice of fingers down the throat and enema up the you know where to prepare for the next event. This competition should be called the “You Really Hate Your Body, Don’t You” contest. But, it sells advertising, so that is what it’s all about.
